Interior pendant “For the smell of coffee”
A decorative pendant will not only please the eye, but also fill the air with the aromas of coffee, cinnamon, and lemon. Made from environmentally friendly materials. If you have accumulated a lot of alcohol caps, do not rush to get rid of them. This is a multifunctional material that will bring a touch of freshness and inspiration to the interior of your home.
Prepare materials:
1. A sheet of orange or brown cardboard – 1 pc.
2. Cork stoppers – 25 pcs.
3. Cones – 3 pcs.
4. Twine – 30 cm.
5. Milky organza ribbon – 3 m.
6. Thread and needle.
7. Glue gun.
8. Coffee beans – 50 gr.
9. Brown felt – piece 4*15 cm.
10. Double-sided tape.
11. Lemon – 3 circles.
12. Cinnamon sticks – 2 pcs.
On an A4 size sheet of cardboard we draw a heart. I drew by hand, you can use a template. Don’t worry if the figure doesn’t turn out perfectly smooth, subsequent materials will hide all the imperfections. Cut out the heart and set it aside. Cut the cork plugs into circles. This is not an easy matter. Therefore, it is advisable to do it in advance so that you have some energy left for creativity. The size of the rings does not matter much, nor does the thickness. The more varied the corks, the more interesting the product will be. Using hot glue, we fix the rings on the cardboard.
We cover the entire radius of the heart with cork rings. We press them tightly against each other. We select the size of the rings in such a way that there is as little empty space between them as possible.
We place the cortical rings in the second circle, forming a heart. This time there should be some distance between them.
We divide the heart by gluing rings in the center, dividing it into two parts. We also attach cortical rings on both sides.
In the upper part of the middle of the product we glue three cones.
Now we work around the cones with twine. We create different waves and draw rings around them with twine. Fix the rope with hot glue.
Let the twine run over the pine cones. They can be decorated in different ways. It all depends on your imagination.
Cut the organza ribbon. We melt the edges of the tape with a lighter, it is very loose. Using the “forward needle” sewing method, we thread the entire length of tape onto the thread.
We tighten the thread to make an openwork ribbon. It should be enough to go around the whole heart.
We glue a ribbon on the back of the heart.
We form a loop from the twine. We attach it to the back of the product. Secure with a piece of felt.
We glue coffee beans onto the inner heart of cortical rings.
Between the organza “skirt” and the circles the cardboard remains visible. We will fix this by gluing the grains into the space.
From brown felt we cut out the letters H, O, M, E. I had a felt circle, so I didn’t cut out the letter O.
We glue double-sided tape to the back of the letters.
Glue a lemon circle onto the letter O. Choose a smaller size so that the coffee beans fit around the lemon. The remaining letters are covered with coffee.
Lemon must be prepared in advance. Cut into slices and dry. Glue the lemon into the free space on the product.
We tie cinnamon sticks with twine: one long and the other shorter.
Glue a bunch of cinnamon onto the pendant. We attach the letters to the bottom of the pendant by removing the protective paper from the tape. The interior decoration is ready.
Cork plugs are characterized by their ability to retain odors well. If you suddenly want a more intense aroma, soak the corks with essential oil (cinnamon, lemon, vanilla, lavender).
