Unusual card with gifts inside
Everyone loves to receive present for a birthday. Gifts are usually always accompanied by a nice card with pleasant wishes. What if you combine these two nice things together?! Today I will teach you how to make an unusual card with three nice gifts hidden inside.
To make it you will need:
- thick paper. You can choose sheets of the same color or different, as you like. I wanted something light, so I chose a pastel color for the inside of the card and a white sheet for the cover. You can experiment with brighter colors, it turns out very beautiful.
- Ruler.
- Pencil.
- Scalpel.
- Beautiful wrapping paper or any other paper with a pattern.
- Rubber band and board for work.
First of all, we cut out the blank for the inside.
We bend the sheet and mark the sizes of our gifts on it. There will be three of them in total - from smallest to largest.
Carefully cut the paper and bend the places for gifts so that when you open the card, they bend inward, creating volume.
We take wrapping paper or paper with three different types of designs.Using a pencil and ruler, we measure and mark the sizes of our gifts on this paper. We cut out blanks, two from each paper.
Now we make the cover for the card. We take a thick sheet of paper and mark on it the dimensions of the sheet that will be inside the postcard. Add a few millimeters on each side and cut out the cover. It should be larger than the insert sheet so that when the card is closed and opened, the inside does not protrude from the cover.
We mark the location of the gifts on the cover. Now we take blanks from paper for gifts or sheets with drawings and glue them to the marked places on the cover and to the sheet that will be inside the card.
When the glue under the “gifts” dries, you can glue the two parts of our postcard together. Be careful that the outer and inner parts of the gifts match each other and form the correct box.
You can design the outer part of the postcard in different ways, at your discretion. I left the number white. But you can glue ribbons, a pretty picture, or anything else you see fit on it. Everyone, without exception, will be pleased to receive such a postcard as a gift. Delight your loved ones with beautiful handmade things.
