A smart way to keep your bathroom tiles clean and free from dirt and mildew.
Increasingly, expensive moisture- and dirt-resistant epoxy grout is used instead of cheap cement grout to grout tile joints. But even a regular one can be made resistant to dirt and getting wet. It's easy enough to process it this way sometimes.
Materials:
- paraffin or wax candle;
- rag;
- detergent.
Process of processing tile seams
Before treatment, you need to wash the tiles and grout from stains, since after applying the protective layer it will be more difficult to erase them. Then the dried, clean seams are rubbed with a regular candle.
Wax or paraffin creates a layer impenetrable to moisture and dirt. Due to its transparency, it does not change the shade of the fugue, so it looks the same as before processing. This coating lasts at least a couple of months, and if hot water does not flow along the walls, then even longer.
