How to make a right angle from a corner without welding
You can get a right angle from a corner without a welding machine. To do this, you just need to bend it in a cunning way and reinforce it with an insert. The result will be a very strong, neat connection, completely comparable in strength to welding.
What you will need:
- Corner;
- ruler;
- marker;
- Bulgarian;
- screwdriver;
- wire;
- screws for metal.
Right angle manufacturing process
The angle is obtained by bending. You need to determine this place on the workpiece and draw a transverse line through it. On both sides of it they are laid parallel with an indentation equal to the width of the corner shelf.
The result will be 2 squares. From the center line on the edge side, you need to draw diagonals on them. The resulting triangle in the center is cut out.
Next, you need to bend the trimmed workpiece along the remaining intact shelf. To do this, a shallow cut is made on its inner side. Then the corner is bent along it.
With a slight indentation from the center of the corner, you can drill a hole in the shelves. Then a wire is run through them and its ends are twisted.By twisting the wire, you can tighten and fix the angle so that it does not unbend.
Finally, all that remains is to place the previously cut triangle on the inside and screw it to the shelves with self-tapping screws.
The protruding part of the hardware should be cut off. The wire is then removed.
