As many as 8 options for making new handles for a mosquito net
In the process of using mosquito nets, they wear out and tear, and the handles break. If the canvas is intact, but the factory holders are broken, this does not mean that the structure needs to be thrown away. There are at least 8 ways to make reliable fastenings with your own hands.
Method 1: replacing broken handles with new ones
Buying new plastic handles at any hardware store is not a problem now. Replacing them is not as difficult as it might seem.
First, remove the rubber liner. If there are plastic residues, remove them using a knife, awl or pliers.
Insert new loops and secure with an elastic band.
Fittings can also be purchased at any store that sells double-glazed windows and spare parts.
Method 2: Homemade ribbon handles
Remove the rubberized part, wrap a narrow ribbon made of durable satin around the profile and tie a knot.
Cut off the excess with scissors and install an elastic band.
Method 3: Quick pens from paper clips
Use folder and paper clips.
Just fix them on both sides, in the places where the holders are attached. For reliability, use 2 parts on each side. They do not interfere with installation in the frame.
Method 4: Handles for mosquito net made of nylon tie (clamp)
Remove the elastic, slightly move the mesh fabric and thread the construction clamp. Pin it together to form a small ring. For ease of use, secure the second one to the first tie.
Another option is to bend the tie in half and place it in the hole. This approach is more convenient because a tubercle is not created.
Method 5: Drawstring with a ring
Pass a lace or thick thread between the mesh and polyethylene, throw on a round ring blank and tie a knot.
Method 6: Tape and screws
Cut two lengths of about 8 centimeters from the cotton ribbon and make circles.
Drill a hole in the plastic frame and thread the self-tapping screw and washer through the fabric rings.
Method 7: Handle made of steel staples
Drill two holes in the center and attach a metal bracket.
Method 8: Crochet handles
Screw in the hook and place a construction clamp over it.
Such simple methods will allow you to save money and not buy another mesh.
