New Year's snowflake on the wall
We are all looking forward to the New Year holidays. Let's start decorating the house. Let's make a decoration for the New Year's tree and home - a “New Year's snowflake”. Such a snowflake can be hung on the wall and decorated with a New Year tree. It's easy and simple to do.
For work we will need:
- Cocktail straws.
- Colored tape.
- A piece of wire.
- Styrofoam.
- Scissors.
- Decorative rope.
- Pliers.
- A little imagination.
2. Cut the tubes into long and short pieces.
3. We disassemble the foam into balls.
4. Cover the tubes with colored tape.
5. Cut off a piece of wire with pliers. We string a long tube onto a wire, insert a foam ball, and bend the wire like a slingshot.
6. We string short tubes onto both ends of the slingshot. Next, we decorate the ends of the snowflake in two ways:
7. We string a ball of foam plastic on top of the tubes, secure them by bending the wire into the letter “G”.
8. Bend the ends of the wire towards each other, string a short tube onto the ends.
9. We do the same with the other end of the wire. We make these snowflake branches - four of them.
10.We connect the branches of the snowflakes together in the middle with wire. We wrap a piece of wire around one of the branches, string a short tube, wrap the wire around the next branch, and so on in a circle.
11. The snowflake is ready.
We attach a loop to the snowflake by which it can be hung. You can change the color of a New Year's snowflake by using cocktail straws and scotch tape in different colors. Instead of foam balls, you can use beads, and replace colored tape with adhesive paper. The size of the snowflake depends on the length of the tubes used. The snowflake pattern can be made in a variety of ways, experiment.
