Jewelry box
I think every girl has faced the problem of storing her jewelry. Every time you get ready for work or for a walk, you select jewelry for yourself. And here a problem arises: the necessary earrings and rings are almost impossible to find quickly and effortlessly. Stores offer us various boxes, but such boxes have a high cost, and you can also choose the required size and contents of the box (the boxes have different sections and containers for jewelry of different shapes, sizes and purposes).
Required materials and tools:
- a box, which in the future will become the basic frame of the box;
- pieces of fabric: for finishing external and internal walls; to create the interior of the box;
- PVA glue;
- scissors;
- pencil;
- materials for decoration: lace, guipure, denim and felt applique, rhinestones.
Robot stages:
1. Prepare all necessary materials. If you have the opportunity to use a box with a small lock or latch, then your box will look more impressive and will be easier to use.
2. The inner wall of the box must be covered with a cloth using PVA glue.This type of glue is easy to use as it does not leave marks on the fabric. Super glue can leave marks on the fabric, and this will not look aesthetically pleasing or neat.
3. To create compartments for jewelry, you need to use dense and fairly thick fabric. The fabric must be cut according to a certain principle: the width of the fabric corresponds to the width of the box, and the length is 20 or more times greater than the width (depending on what kind of fabric you use and how many compartments you need).
4. From the finished piece of fabric you need to fold an accordion. If the number of compartments suits you, feel free to insert the accordion into the box. If you want fewer compartments, fold the fabric in half and create an accordion shape.
5. Cover the outer cover with fabric using PVA glue.
6. Glue small pieces of fabric onto the bottom wall of the box for ease of use. You can use the fabric that was used to create the internal compartments.
7. Cover the side walls of the box with fabric as well.
8. Let's start decorating. We decorate the top cover with guipure, gluing it with the same PVA glue. Glue needs to be applied to the edges and the entire surface of the top cover. Cover the side wall with thin lace.
9. Decorate the top cover with an applique of three hearts. For applique, you can use felt, denim or other beautiful fabric. Felt is very convenient for creating decor; it does not fray and is easy to cut. The applique can be made in any shape and theme. You can also use jewelry pieces (bows, figurines, beads).
The box is ready to use! This box is an excellent organizer for rings and stud earrings, pendants and clips.
