Buttercup earrings
1. To create bright and attractive buttercup earrings we will need: three colors of polymer clay, baked glue or transparent gel, a base for earrings with an English lock and a cabochon platform, rubber surgical gloves, a blade.
Note: In my opinion, Cernit clay is perfect for this job. It softens quite easily, but it can be formed into a very thin petal, and it is also very strong and light.
2. From a piece of acid-yellow plastic, after putting on gloves, we form a drop by rolling the plastic between the index and thumb. Depending on the size of the future flower, the size of the “drop” may vary.
3. We make 2 blanks.
Note: gloves will make the work more accurate. Fingerprints will not be visible on the petals, and dust and dirt from hands will not be deposited.
4. We take plastic acid-coral color and form small balls (2-4 mm in diameter), such circles should be made in such a way that the petals of this color will be arranged in 2 rows - in the first there will be 3 petals, and in the second - 5. That is In total you need to roll 16 balls.
5.Each ball must be spread between the index finger and thumb and turned into a petal.
6. Next, we begin to attach overlapping coral petals to the narrow part of the drop-blank. We attach the first one.
7. It is clearly easy to see how the second petal is attached.
8. We attach the third petal in the same way - overlapping the previous one.
9. In the same spirit, we continue to attach the remaining petals, pressing them tightly to the base.
10. The next step is to make the pink petals. There should be about 22-24 of them, i.e. 11-12 for each flower. We attach the petals in 2 rows and get a finished flower.
Note: It is better to attach petals of different sizes. In the first rows - smaller ones, in the last - larger ones.
11. Now you need to cut off the tail that came from the base of the drop and the petals. To do this, knead with your fingers and pull back the plastic, which is located at the very base of the flower.
12. Next, cut off the “tail” with a blade, and the area of the cut should be approximately equal to the area where the cabochon is attached to the base for the earring.
13. Take the baking glue gel and lubricate the inner surface of the earring base area.
Note: Glue or clear gel will help the flower stick well to the platform. The most widely used for these purposes are transparent liquid gel Fimo and thermal glue Scalpi.
14. Place the cut bud on the base and bake for 25 minutes at 120 degrees (depending on the type of polymer clay used).
15. The finished result!
In your work, you can use absolutely any colors that suit you.The size and purpose of the flower can also be changed: making a beautiful and bright ring, brooch or pendant is not difficult, all you have to do is buy the necessary accessories.
This decoration is perfect for both a little fashionista and representatives of stylish youth. The main thing is to choose the right color combinations
