Angel in a ball of threads
I like to work with threads most of all; they are the most pliable and versatile material for crafts. I once tried to make a ball of thread and it turned out pretty good. Then the question of filling it arose. You can make a spring composition by placing original flowers using the technique in the middle quilling. Another option is to complement the ball with a white angel made of threads. I bring to your attention these beautiful decorative ornaments.
To work, you should prepare the following components:
- medium size balloon;
- a tube of PVA glue;
- a flat plate for glue;
- scissors;
- threads for knitting in bright colors.
First I will tell you how to make a ball of threads. Take the balloon and blow it up, making sure to tie it tightly so it doesn't deflate unexpectedly. Pour PVA glue into a flat plate and dilute it a little with water.
Choose the brightest and most beautiful thread (in the photo it is dark lilac), begin to gradually immerse it in glue and carefully wind it around the ball. Make sure that the thread is completely saturated with glue. You need to wind so many threads onto the base so that the balloon shows through in some places. Once you have finished winding the threads, cut off the end and secure it near the tail.Once again, coat the entire surface of the base with a generous layer of PVA glue.
Place the finished base on a plastic bag and place the ball near a warm radiator overnight.
When the glue is completely dry from the threads, remove the rubber ball. To do this, simply cut off the tail.
Now you need to cut a hole in the foreground. This can be 1/4 of the total volume of the product.
If you decide to place a spring composition in a ball, then take bright flowers made using the quilling technique. And insert them as shown in the photo. Don’t forget to also glue a beautiful braid in the form of delicate flowers around the perimeter of the cut edge.
If you want to decorate the ball with a figurine of an angel, then at this stage I will tell you the process of making it.
So, take a white knitting thread and wind it in a circle on any strong base. 40-45 turns of thread will be enough. The result is a workpiece 18 cm long.
Cut the threads from one edge using a utility knife. Tie the sections in the middle with thread.
Separate the doll's head and bandage it.
Make a second skein of thread. To do this, take a warp 10 cm wide and wind the thread about 20 times. There is no need to cut this time, it is just important to carefully remove the threads from the base. The result is angel wings.
Weave a braid of six strands - these will be the hands of the doll. Place this blank near the wings. Even at this stage, you need to tie the waist in the middle of the product.
All that remains is to decorate the craft. Take a gold thread, form it into a belt, bracelets for the arms and hair of an angel.
Now fix the craft in the center of the ball of thread. You can simply hang the angel by the belt. This beautiful decorative composition is made from ordinary knitting threads.Suitable as a theme present on name day (angel day).
