Home bounties
Surely everyone has seen the advertisement for the delicious bounty bar on TV. Today, store shelves are filled with these sweets, but if you consider their expiration date, it is easy to understand that they are full of preservatives and other chemical components. In addition, it is not clear what is in these sweets, but such sweets are often bought specifically for children. I suggest making delicious sweets at home. This is the only way they will be fresh, without preservatives, and made from natural products.
To prepare sweets you need:
- coconut flakes;
- condensed milk;
- chocolate.
1. To make 10 pieces of candy, I use 2 packages of coconut flakes, 40 g each, 100 g chocolate for glaze. First you need to pour all the shavings into a deep bowl.
2. Condensed milk is used as a binding component. It must be added little by little to the chips and immediately stirred with a spoon. I won’t tell you the exact amount of condensed milk, since I added it little by little until the mixture reached the desired consistency.
3. As a result, all the shavings should be coated with condensed milk and the resulting mass should mold well in your hands. To form the candy, you should take a teaspoon of the mass and sculpt balls or oblong flagella with your hands.
4.Line a baking sheet or other flat surface with parchment. Place the prepared coconut balls on parchment paper; you can use a cutting board instead of a baking sheet. The main thing is that this surface can be placed in the freezer. Place the prepared sweets in the freezer for half an hour.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze for enveloping the sweets. To do this, break the chocolate into small pieces, place the bowl of chocolate in a steam bath and melt until liquid.
6. Take out the cooled candies, put one candy on a fork, and use a teaspoon to pour chocolate on all sides of the candy. The condensed milk has cooled and the candies have hardened, so they do not crumble. After this, hold the candy on a fork for a while to allow the excess chocolate to drip off.
7. Place the candies again on the parchment and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes for the chocolate to harden.
8. You can serve sweets with tea or coffee.
