Bright butterflies: an idea for decorating a mirror or glass

Quite often it happens that during the process of repairs or reconstruction, extra mirrors or pieces of glass remain. If you have time and desire, you can create a real miracle out of them, which can decorate any home and bring a touch of good mood to everyday life. A painted mirror can be hung on the wall, and a small stained glass window can be made from glass.

What you will need for the drawing:
-Rectangular or square mirror.
-Ordinary stained glass paints, sold in any office supply store.
- Nail polish with glitter.
-Any transparent varnish to fix the design (nail fixer is also suitable).

How to decorate a mirror:
First you need to choose the most suitable mirror and wash off all dirt and dust, if any.



Now take the most common paints for painting stained glass.



The first step is to make a black outline. In the paint set it is presented in this tube:



Two large butterflies, curved branches with leaves, and small circles are drawn on the mirror to fill the free space.The drawing is left until the paint dries completely.



Then you can choose colors that match the interior of the room in which the mirror will hang. In this case, these are brown, green, red and scarlet shades.



Green paint will be needed for the leaves. They are all poured in and left to dry.

All that remains is to take the clear varnish. In this case, an ordinary manicure fixative was used. Its only drawback is its strong smell, so it is better to apply it to the mirror in the fresh air rather than indoors.
