Iris flower made of threads
Spring is coming, and many of our readers are already in a spring mood. I want something light and beautiful. Hence the question for our dear needlewomen: shouldn’t we make a flower with our own hands?!
Let this flower be a wonderful iris. So, for work you need to prepare:
white, yellow and green threads for knitting, acrylic or wool blend;
glue, wire and hook, beads for stamens.
The time to create the work is approximately two hours. As a result, we should get a flower like this.

Let's look at our work step by step.
Stage one. Making the base of the flower.
We take yellow threads, knit two loops together and begin to knit in a circle with the addition of loops (we knit with regular single crochets). When you get a circle with a diameter of 2.5 cm, we stop adding loops, and knitting let's continue. We knit another 4 cm, and then we begin to sharply add loops to get the following.

Stage two. Petals.
When our yellow bell base is ready, it's time to make 6 petals. We knit them using white threads. The pattern is simple. We knit air loops, and then start regular knitting in the size we need. We make a kind of triangle at the top and close the knitting.

We make 5 more petals.
Stage three. Stem.
Now it's time to make the stem and connect it first to the base and then to the petals. We make the stem using wire, onto which we sequentially wind green threads. We knit a small green base and attach it on one side to the stem, and on the other to the base.
This is what we got.

Stage four. Stamens.
To make our flower even more similar to this creation of nature, we need to make stamens for it. To do this, we first knit a yellow circle, the diameter of which should not exceed 2 cm, and then using large beads we make stamens like these.

Glue the stamens to the inside of our base..
Then we sew or glue the petals. This is the kind of flower we get.

And here's what the flower looks like from the other side.

Stage five. Leaflets
Now the only thing left to do is to make leaves from green threads. They can be knitted using your imagination. In our version, first 6 rows of regular loops were knitted (the length of the sheet itself is about 6 cm), and then one row of double crochets was knitted.
Here's what the leaves turned out like.

And this is the green base of the flower, which needs to be glued to the wire.

As a result of all these simple manipulations, our flower is completely ready!
