Felted snowman
I suggest you make a funny snowman from felted wool. This toy will be an original New Year's gift for family, friends or acquaintances. Any felter who has even a little experience and understands felting needles can handle this work.
Required materials and tools:
Let's get to work. We form two balls from centipon, different in size: one large, it will be the bottom, the other smaller for the head. You will also need a semicircle to connect these balls. We felt them with a needle No. 36 then No. 38, until medium density.
Then we wrap all the formed parts with white wool and begin felting, starting the work with a 36 needle. Then we change the needle to 38 as it falls, and finish with a 40 needle.
After we have felted these elements, we connect them together. A large ball with a semicircle and a small ball. We weld them to each other with a needle No. 38 diagonally and vertically. In order for these parts to hold together more tightly and have a more beautiful appearance, we connect them together with a separate piece of wool, as in the photo.
It turns out this white figure.
Next we make the handles. Paired parts must be made at the same time so that they turn out the same. From white wool we form the shape we need and roll it.
To continue the handles, we make mittens from red wool. First we felt the palms, then the fingers, again we made all the paired parts at the same time.
We connect our fingers with our palms, pressing them down. You get these red mittens.
We roll the mittens onto our blanks and the handles for the snowman are ready.
Now we make the legs from a small piece of black or gray wool.
Next we make the hat. To do this, you can take a mold that looks like a bucket and wrap it with brown wool, and roll it a little diagonally with a needle. Then remove the mold, fill the empty space with padding polyester and roll it to the desired size and density.
Next, we make a small carrot nose from orange or red wool.
Now let's felt the scarf. First we make it from a long strip of red wool, and at the end we add white wool.
Let's bring our snowman to life. Using a needle, we knock out the places on the face where the eyes and mouth will be. Then we roll black wool of the desired shape onto these places, as in the photo. Attach the nose just below the eyes.
Now we connect the legs and arms to the body.
We put a scarf on the snowman, slightly tugging it towards the head and body. That's all - the felted wool snowman is ready! Height crafts – 15 – 20 centimeters.
You can give him a New Year's toy of the required size, or make any New Year's craft with your own hands, it all depends on your imagination. In the presented craft, the snowman is holding a small Christmas tree.
