Cooking notebook

Any housewife will find this interesting article very useful, because everyone probably has her own favorite recipes with which she pampers her family. So, in order for all the recipes to always be in place and at hand, and also stored in a safe place, they need a notebook in which you can write all your favorite recipes. And every housewife can make an interesting and fragrant notebook with coffee leaves with her own hands. This detailed master class will help us with this.

So, to create such a masterpiece we will need to take:
• Binding cardboard, two blanks 15*21 cm;
• Korean-made thick cotton, dark brown with large white polka dots and beige with small polka dots;
• Coffee and vanilla tinted A4 sheets, approximately 45 pieces;
• Sintepon;
• Scrap paper in brown and gray tones, so to speak, in a coffee tones;
• Many different color pictures on a culinary theme;
• The inscription “My favorite recipes”;
• A sheet with the inscriptions “First courses”, “Baked goods”, “Desserts”, etc., we will need these inscriptions for the colored dividers of our notebook;
• Die-cut napkins from white paper and craft paper;
• Metal pendants associated with the kitchen;
• White cotton lace;
• Metal multi-colored brads;
• Decorative branch with buds;
• A piece of burlap;
• Dried cinnamon stick;
• Dried star anise;
• Brown-white tape 25 mm wide;
• Gold eyelets and eyelet installer;
• Leg-split;
• Waxed dark brown cord;
• Double-sided tape;
• Glue stick;
• Adhesive with adhesive tape effect;
• Lace border hole punch;
• Ruler, scissors, pencil, sewing machine.

Our entire notebook will be made absolutely from scratch. It will consist of a soft cover and tinted sheets. There is no special recipe for tinting sheets; I did everything by eye. For about 300 ml of warm water, take 3-4 teaspoons of instant coffee and 2-3 bags of vanillin. We paint each sheet with a brush and dry it naturally, hanging it on a rope. Our notebook needs about 45 landscape sheets.
So, we start by making a soft cover.

We take binding cardboard, we have two rectangles 15*21 cm, glue strips of double-sided tape and glue padding polyester on top.

Now we cut off two strips of each fabric, measure it so that there are reserves left for the hem, 2 cm on all sides. We measure a strip of lace at the place where the fabrics are sewn together.

Now it's up to the iron. Smooth all pieces of fabric and tinted leaves thoroughly under steam.

We sew the fabric together, and sew lace at the seam. Now we lay out the fabric with the pattern down and place the binding blanks with the padding polyester facing down. Applying a glue stick, starting from the corners, stretch and glue the fabric.

We get these blanks, they are well covered.

Now we're posting decor to the front of the notepad. First, craft a napkin, then the pictures, moving them, the inscription on the left and a piece of burlap. We sew each picture separately. Now we take a sheet of scrap paper 30*30 cm and from it we will make endpapers for the cover and pockets for notes.

Cut two rectangles 14.5*20.7 cm. Pockets 9*14.5 cm and a small pocket 8*9.5 cm.

We make the pockets on top with lace. Apply glue stick to the edges of the pockets and glue them to the endpapers.

Now you need to attach the branch and pendants to the cover using metal brads. We also attach a piece of twine to the brads, into which we will then tie cinnamon.

We glue the endpapers using adhesive with the effect of adhesive tape.

We place a piece of ribbon under the endpapers so that we can tie our notebook later. We sew both sides of the cover along the edge with a machine.

Now we make holes at the required distance and insert eyelets.

Now let's move on to sheets and dividers. We divide all the sheets in half and cut them, they turn out to be 14.5 * 21 cm in size.

Now we prepare six 14.5*21 cm rectangles from scrap paper.

Now we assemble the separators. Let's look at the example of soups. We glue a napkin, pictures and the inscription “soups”. We sew each element on a machine. We put a tinted sheet on the back of the scrap paper sheet and sew it along the edge. This way we close all the seams and have room in the back for your favorite recipe.

We collect all six separators in this way. Now we take the cover, place it on the divider and pages and measure the places where we need to make holes.

We punch holes in all the dividers and in all the sheets.

Now we cut off three pieces of waxed cord and twine, fold them in pairs and thread them through the holes on the bottom cover.

Now we string a separator, then 10-12 sheets and again a separator, and so on until we assemble the entire notebook, ending with the cover on top. We tie the cords in all three places with bows. The notebook is almost ready. We tie a cinnamon stick and glue the star anise and our fragrant kitchen assistant is ready.
