Strawberry jam
Strawberries are one of the first and long-awaited summer berries to ripen. During a short period of growth, it is not possible to get enough of the taste of the berry. Therefore, it is necessary to start preparing strawberries for the winter as soon as possible in order to enjoy them in the future. There are many recipes for canning strawberries. One simple option is strawberry jam.
To make jam you will need ingredients:
1.Strawberries in the amount of 500 g.
2.Sugar – 300 g.
Steps for making strawberry jam.
First, let's start preparing the berries. To do this, remove the stems from the strawberries. Then we wash the berries in plenty of water, changing the water periodically. At the end, put the strawberries in a colander and rinse again. Excess water should drain. The berries are ready!
Pour sugar into a container with strawberries. Mix the ingredients and put the strawberries in the refrigerator. In this form, strawberries should stand for at least 8 hours. 3
3. During this time, the strawberries will release juice.
Pour the strawberry mixture into the pan. Let the mixture boil.
After the mixture boils, remove the pan from the heat. Beat the mixture using a blender. You should get a homogeneous strawberry mass.Put the pan with strawberry puree back on the fire. The mixture should boil, after which we remove the pan from the stove and set the jam aside until it cools completely.
Boil the strawberry mixture 3 times in the same way. The cooking process can be continued for several days.
During the cooking process, foam will form on the surface of the mass; it must be removed periodically.
As soon as the mass reaches a boil for the third time, it must be poured into a clean, sterile jar.
Roll up the jam jars with lids. Then place the jars in a warm place until the strawberry mass cools completely. We store jam in the cellar.
Strawberry jam prepared in this way is very aromatic and tasty. All useful substances are preserved in the jam.
The advantage of jam is that it can be consumed not only with tea, but also as a filling for baked goods.
