A stylish interior is, first of all, thoughtful details. They are the indicator of a good impression of the room. Such important details include lighting. It happens that a lamp that was once pleasing to the eye is tired of or does not fit into the decor of the room updated after renovation. Decoration stages
The first step is to unscrew the light bulb and remove the lampshade.Cover the dry, clean surface of the lamp base with primer and leave to dry.
We cover the base of the lamp with two layers of bronze-colored paint and leave to dry.
Apply craquelure varnish, moving the brush in one direction, for example, only from top to bottom. Let it dry for one and a half to two hours. We check the readiness of the lamp for further work with a finger; it should only slightly stick to the surface. You should check it carefully in an inconspicuous place so as not to leave fingerprints.
Mix white, blue and green paints to create a pastel turquoise color. To do this, add a little blue and a drop of green to the white paint, now mix to a uniform soft turquoise shade. We cover the base of the lamp with paint, remembering that you cannot move the brush twice over the same place. We are waiting for the craquelure effect to appear.
After the cracked layer has dried, we proceed to decoupage. We cut out flower arrangements from a napkin, separate the top layer and try them on the lamp.
To glue flowers, it is convenient to use a file. Place the design on the file with the wrong side facing you, and moisten the surface of the napkin with a brush and water.
We attach the file to the selected location on the lamp and translate the drawing. Gently coat the top with PVA glue, very diluted with water. Waiting for it to dry.
We coat the base of the lamp with matte acrylic varnish and dry it.
All that remains is to assemble the lamp, and the shabby chic table lamp is ready!
