How to cook Heh from squid
Cephalopods squids are among the most budget-friendly seafood. The relatively low price makes the purchase of these shellfish affordable for most consumers. Squid meat contains complete protein and low fat content. It can be recommended for all diets. How to prepare a delicious Korean-style squid heh salad.

Ingredients
To prepare 5-6 servings of squid heh you need:
- squid, without entrails and head, 1.2 kg;
- onion 150.0 g;
- carrots 100.0 g;
- several cloves of garlic;
- oils 100.0 ml;
- acetic acid, concentration 70%, 2 tbsp. spoons;
- soy 2 tbsp. spoons;
- sugar 1 teaspoon;
- salt to taste;
- coriander, red pepper 1/2 - 1.0 teaspoon each, or take a ready-made mixture for Korean carrots.


Step-by-step recipe for making squid Heh
1. When choosing squid in the store, you should not buy its fillet. As a rule, this imported product is processed after defrosting and re-frozen. For squid heh, it is best to buy simply gutted mollusk carcasses without heads. Before cooking, squids need to be thawed and poured with boiling water.

The tender skin will immediately curl up.All that remains is to wash the carcasses and remove the thin but durable films from the inside.

2. Pour water over the cleaned squids. Heat to a boil, cook for no longer than two minutes.

Then immediately remove from the water and cool.
3. Thinly slice the onion.

If you don’t have a grater for Korean carrots to grate the carrots, then first cut them into thin slices and then chop them into strips.

4. Heat the oil in a frying pan very high. Put onions and carrots.

Keep on high heat for a couple of minutes. Add coriander and hot red pepper. They can be replaced with a ready-made seasoning mixture for Korean carrots. Add finely chopped garlic. Take it to taste from 1 to 4 cloves. Remove the pan from the heat. Pour soy and vinegar into onions and carrots. Place the prepared squid heh dressing in a large bowl.

5. Cut the boiled squid into thin rings or strips.

6. Combine the dressing with the squid. Mix. Taste and add salt if necessary.

Infuse squid heh for two hours in the refrigerator.
