Salad "A la Caesar"

Caesar salad, without false modesty, can be called one of the most popular. The reference recipe can be tried in a good restaurant, but it is not ideal in all cafes. For the classic recipe, romaine lettuce, croutons, Parmesan cheese and sauce with the obligatory addition of anchovies are used. We'll whip up the salad, but that won't make it any less delicious.
Set of ingredients:
  • Iceberg lettuce – 1 head.
  • Chinese salad - 1/2 head.
  • 10 pieces of nuggets.
  • 1 sliced ​​loaf.
  • Cheese – 150 g.
  • 15 - 20 pcs. cherry tomatoes.
  • 8 quail eggs.
  • Caesar sauce – 1/3 pack.
  • Mayonnaise – 1/3 of a small package.
  • Astoria garlic sauce – 1/3 pack.

Butter and vegetable oil, paprika, salt.

You can start by preparing crackers. Cut off the crust in a thin layer from the entire surface of the loaf, then cut the remaining crumb into pieces 1 cm thick. Place 4 - 5 slices of bread on top of each other, cut into strips 1 cm thick. Next, cut across to make even bread cubes. We use 2/3 of the loaf.

Place the resulting preparation for crackers on a baking sheet, add salt, sprinkle with paprika and place in a preheated oven for 10 minutes.Then we take out the half-finished crackers, collect them in a mound, put 2-3 slices of butter on top or sprinkle with vegetable oil. Place in the oven for another ten minutes until the crackers are browned.

Place quail eggs in a saucepan with cold water, place on the stove and cook for 10 minutes.

Prepare the lettuce leaves. Divide the Chinese cabbage into separate sheets. Next, cut out the hard core, leaving only the soft part of the lettuce leaf. We also separate the iceberg lettuce from the stalk. We cut all the leaves into large squares, approximately 4 x 4.5 x 5 cm in size.

Take a pack of frozen nuggets and let them sit for 10 - 15 minutes to defrost a little. Pour sunflower oil into a slightly heated frying pan and place semi-finished chicken products in it. Fry until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes on each side, over medium heat.

We prepare the remaining products. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Cut quail eggs in half. Wash the cherry tomatoes, wipe them with a napkin and also cut them lengthwise into two halves. Cut each nugget into four strips.

Place all the lettuce leaves in a deep container. Add sauces and mayonnaise, you can also immediately add croutons. Mix everything thoroughly.

Now take a large flat plate. Place a mixture of leaves and crackers on the center. Place the required number of cherry tomato slices over the entire surface. Next, lay out strips of nuggets and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Decorate the dish with egg halves. Voila!
