How to decorate a box of chocolates

There are many ways to decorate a box of chocolates, one of which is a decoration in the form of a basket of flowers. We will make a flower basket from corrugated paper. Supporting materials:

• A 6x6 square of foam.
  
• Toothpicks.
  
• "Titan" glue.
  
• Thin ribbon, lace, bead.
  
• Box of candies.

So, let's start by preparing the base for the foam flowers. Using a knife, cut out a square on paper. We will subsequently place flowers on toothpicks on it.

Making flowers

Our flower basket will be decorated with beautiful blue and yellow roses. Therefore, we will make an equal number of roses of both colors.
In order for the rose to look three-dimensional, you should make the core in the form of a ball. Take a regular toothpick, moisten its tip with glue, and wrap a piece of cotton wool. Then place a piece of foil on top. Pressing the foil tightly against the toothpick at the bottom, we get a rose core like this.

Next, cut out the rose petal templates from paper. One is smaller, about 3.5 cm long, the other is larger - 5 cm. Using these templates, we begin to cut out the petals for the roses.


One rose will require 7 small petals. And also 9 - 10 large petals.
Now we begin to glue the petals to the spherical base. Glue two petals opposite each other. Then we glue the opposite edges together.


In the next row we will also glue two sheets of paper, but on other sides. Let's glue the opposite edges of the petals.

In the third row we will glue three more petals. We will also glue the edges. It turns out to be a rosebud.

Let's move on to the leaves of the larger template and glue two of them. Let's glue them together.

It's time to glue on the leaves with curled edges. You can tighten them using the same toothpick. Don't forget to stretch the center of the petal on the back side for volume.

We begin to glue the curly leaves one after another to the bud. The result is a lush rose.

Roses can be made not only of one color, but also alternated, for example, the bud is blue, and the curly petals are yellow and vice versa. When the required number of flowers are glued together, we proceed to laying them on a square of foam plastic. Using toothpicks, they can easily be stuck into the foam. Shape the flower basket lid to your liking.

Next, decorate the edges of the box of chocolates with corrugated paper.

To do this, cut out pieces of the appropriate length, securing them to the box with glue in several places. Stretch the paper around the edges.

Secure the paper in the center of the box with decorative tape, decorate with lace and beads. Place a flower cap on top of the box. Present ready!
