Box “Balloons”
You will need:
1. Beam 1.5*3 cm with a length of at least 64 cm;
2. Cutting board 20*13.5 cm;
3. Two small loops;
4.Napkin
5. Set of gimlets;
6. Self-tapping screws - 4 pcs.;
7.Glue Moment Joiner;
8. Transparent glossy varnish Vixen in a can;
9. Acrylic putty;
10.Coarse and medium sandpaper;
11.Hacksaw for wood.
12. Prestige polymer adhesive;
13. Corner.
Let's take a board and use a wine cork to seal the hole, level the surface with acrylic putty, wait until it dries and finally remove the unevenness with medium sandpaper.
2. Then we cover the surface of our board with white acrylic paint and leave it to dry.
3. At this time, separate the lower parts from the napkin. Apply Prestige glue to the dry board (including the rounded edges) and begin gluing the napkin, starting from the center to the edges, tucking the edges of the napkin. Using a No. 12 flat brush, smooth out wrinkles and bubbles from the center to the edges.
3.After this, we need to cover our board - the future lid of the box - with several layers of varnish at a distance of 25 cm, shaking it well before doing this. After applying the layer, wait 15 minutes for it to dry.If it is not possible to do this outside, you need to do it near the window.
4.Now let’s cut out the body of the box. Since the lid of the box is rounded, the body will be slightly smaller - 19*13cm. We mark 19 cm, then use a corner to mark the exact angle of 45 degrees and saw off the bevels diagonally on both sides. The inner part turned out to be 16cm. We make 2 parts this way. Then we mark 13 cm - inside along the bevel there will be 10 cm, respectively. We also make 2 such parts.
5.Now we glue together the body parts and the bottom from a chipboard sheet 20*13.5 cm with Moment Carpentry glue.
6.Apply putty to the body of the box
7. Then sand the putty with fine sandpaper and paint with white acrylic paint. In fact, it is better to immediately prime with white acrylic putty - because acrylic paint does not level out, remains streaky and does not adhere well to the putty and can peel off spontaneously.
8.For beauty, the edges of the box should be cut down, smoothed with putty, and painted with white paint.
9. We hang the hinges on the body of the box, and then on the lid. We will need gimlets for this, since it is simply impossible to screw small self-tapping screws into dense wood with a regular screwdriver.
10. Glue 16*10cm felt to the bottom.
11. This is what happened!
