Simple antenna for digital television
The antenna is designed to receive digital television channels in the DVB-T2 range. It has a very simple design and repeatability. Can be used as a home or outdoor antenna. Good for long-distance reception.
Will need
Materials:
- Single-core copper wire 3 mm in diameter.
- TV cable with plug.
- Round plastic for the base.
Tool:
- Soldering iron with solder and flux.
- Hot glue gun.
- Wire cutters.
- Pliers.
- Roulette or ruler.
Manufacturing an antenna for DVB-T2 digital television
The antenna drawing looks like this:
This is one of the most popular types - double biquadrat, also called Kharchenko antenna. It is tuned to the middle of the DVB-T2 range.
To make it, you can use wire with a larger diameter than 3 mm.
We take a tape measure and measure the sides for bending according to the drawing.
Use pliers to make bends to form a square.
We make two such squares for both arms of the antenna. It is not at all necessary to make loops at the ends, but with them it is easier to solder the squares together.
Now we wet the joints with flux.
We solder both squares into one.
Solder the cable.
We place it on a plastic round and pour hot glue into the feeding areas, while simultaneously gluing the antenna to the plastic.
The antenna is ready. It can be hung by this round piece of plastic.
The antenna works great at home and outdoors. Quite suitable for long-distance reception in the country. As you can see, the design is extremely simple, which gives it significant advantages.
Now we send it to the transmission station and start an automatic search.
You can also modify the design with a reflector by cutting it out of a piece of tin.
I would also like to draw your attention to maintaining the dimensions during manufacturing, since a slight deviation from the specified ones can significantly reduce the quality of reception of digital channels.
If you will use the antenna outdoors, it would be a good idea to paint it to protect it from weather conditions. Although, it seems to me, nothing will happen to her anyway.
