Knitting napkins from thick threads
Sometimes knitted napkins refresh the interior, create home comfort and emphasize the individuality of the owners. But in this case, a bright yellow napkin made of cotton threads will help you emotionally tune in to the wave of the approaching spring!
To knit a napkin you will need yellow and bright yellow cotton threads, scissors, hook number 2 and a pattern. This pattern is convenient because the napkin can be finished on the 13th, 15th and 16th row, it all depends on where the “knitted masterpiece” will be located.
In addition, the pattern is suitable for beginner knitters who have mastered only chain stitches, single crochet, connecting stitch, single crochet stitch and picot. For our purpose, a napkin with a diameter of 47 cm from 15 rows was knitted.
Start knitting a napkin from a circle of 12 air stitches. loops, then knit 36 double crochets. For ease of knitting, it is not necessary to knit 3 tbsp in 1 loop. with 2 yarn overs, you can “tie” the bottom row with a certain number of stitches (36) and then distribute them evenly in a circle.
From rows 1 to 4, knit a napkin according to the pattern using dark yellow thread. At the end of the 3rd row, break the thread and tie a bright yellow thread, carefully “tuck” the “tails” of the threads on the wrong side between the loops. From the 4th row the pattern of 6 “candles” and “petals” begins.
Using a bright yellow thread, knit a napkin until the end of the pattern, 6 “candles” with “petals”, 13 rows each. Knit rows 14-15 with dark yellow thread. Please note that in the 14th row at the “joining of the petals” you knit stitches with 3 crochets, and between the peaks you knit stitches with 2 crochets. To get a pattern of air loops and a continuous circle of double crochet stitches in the 15th row, you need to turn the work towards and away from you.
If you wish, you can wash and starch the napkin, but in its natural form the product evokes more positive emotions and a feeling of comfort. Thus, it will take an average of 2 days to create this work. Moreover, a napkin made of thick threads forms a large pattern, and therefore will look beautiful on a contrasting plain fabric (black, white, green, red) both on the table and in the middle of the bed.
