How to make a TV bracket in 5 minutes
To hang a TV on the wall, you don’t have to buy an expensive bracket; you can make it yourself in literally five minutes from fasteners that can definitely be found in a hardware store. Worth every penny, but will last forever. Therefore, this is the best way to save your money.
Will need
- Two metal plates
- 4 screws.
- 2 dowels (or anchor bolts).
How to quickly hang a TV on the wall. The simplest homemade bracket
We turn the TV we want to hang onto the reverse side. At the back there are 4 mounting slots for a bracket. We take a sheet of paper and use a pen or pencil to make punctures, thereby transferring the center-to-center distances between the stationary TV mounts onto it.
Now we place this sheet on one metal layer and use a marker to mark marks for further drilling.
To prevent the crease from jumping around when drilling, we use the core according to the marks. Next, we put the plates together, clamp them in a vice and drill both at a time.
You need to drill 3 holes: 2 housing mounts, shifted as far as possible downwards and 1 for wall mounting, shifted as much as possible upwards (if they are not in the standard plate).
Next, we attach it to the TV using screws.
Pay special attention to the length of the screws. If they are too long, buy others or cut the existing ones with a hacksaw. This is necessary so that when screwing them in they do not push through the electronics inside.
We remove the legs from the TV.
We drill holes in the wall for dowels or anchor bolts. We hang the TV on the wall and secure the anchor bolts with a wrench.
The TV weighs just right and will definitely never fall.
That's all! 5 minutes and you're done.
