How to assemble a mosquito net from a cable channel and save money

If necessary, install a removable mosquito net on the window; its frame can be made from plastic cable channels. This material is available in any hardware store, is inexpensive, and is not afraid of corrosion and does not require painting. Thanks to the presence of the cover, it is very easy to insert the mesh into the cable channel, so assembly will not take much time.

Materials:

mosquito net;
cable channel;
blind rivets;
frame corners - 4 pcs.

The process of making a mosquito net from a cable channel

The cable channel is cut into 4 pieces according to the size of the window sash to be opened. Then you need to remove the covers from the blanks and assemble the channels into a frame using frame window corners. To do this, holes are made in the planks and the corners are attached with rivets.

Next, a mosquito net is placed on the frame and the cable channel covers are snapped on. First, one cover is installed, then the mesh is tightened and the opposite one is latched. Then the side one is inserted and the remaining one after tensioning the mesh. The protruding part of the mesh is carefully trimmed.

Handles for the net can be made from a belt or rafter. They are secured to the frame from the lid side with two rivets.

The frame with the mesh is installed on the window with the side with the corners facing outward, in which case it can fit tightly to the window. After installation, the mesh frame will be invisible behind the window frame, so the structure looks the same as the purchased one.
