How to make a device that will help you move heavy furniture or equipment with one finger
If you need to move a refrigerator, washing machine, chest of drawers, wardrobe or sofa, you can make a special air cushion. It will lift weights off the floor and glide across it quite easily, significantly reducing the effort required to move.

The pillow platform is made from plywood. Its size can be any. In this case, the chosen dimensions are 60x45 cm. All planes are sanded on plywood and the edges are rounded.
Closer to the edge, a hole is drilled in it for the electric pump pipe for inflating boats or mattresses.
Foamed polyethylene overlays are cut to the size of the plywood. Their total thickness should be 20 mm. Next, prepare a piece of fabric that does not allow air to pass through. It should be 10 cm larger at the base on each side.An old air mattress is ideal for this. On one side its fabric is velvet, and on the other it is rubberized. It is necessary to lay the fabric, a foam polyethylene backing on top, then plywood.
After this, the fabric is folded and glued to the base.
The workpiece is turned over and a square is cut out in its center down to the plywood. To do this, a 10 cm indentation is made from the edges. On the gluing side, the hem is reinforced with staples.
Next, a pump for inflating the boats is installed on the platform. When supplied, air will escape through the slit at the bottom, lifting the pillow.
Thanks to this, she can easily slide on a smooth floor, even with a weight on top. For the pillow to work, you need to place it strictly in the center for an even load, so it doesn’t warp and release pressure. When overcoming raised obstacles, for example, runners embedded in the floor, you need to glue a plastic film to them, and then the platform will not deflate.
