How to make a simple jigsaw from a refrigerator compressor
The compressor from the refrigerator can be used as a drive for a jigsaw. For this, it is ideally suited, as it requires minimal modifications.
Materials:
- refrigerator compressor;
- thick rubber;
- Sheet steel;
- furniture corners – 3 pcs.;
- steel corner;
- profile pipe.
Jigsaw manufacturing process
You need to open the compressor and remove the engine.
Using nylon ties, it must be installed on a rubber pad cut in the form of a circle from a tire or mudguard from a truck.
The sole of the machine in the form of a disk is cut out of sheet steel. Three corners are welded to it, through which you can screw screws into the rubber motor mount.
A stand for attaching the table is welded to the base.
2 segments of different lengths will be reflected from the corner, and drilled for an M6 bolt. They curl together. The long angle is then welded to the compressor piston. The result is a holder for nail files.
A section of profile pipe is welded horizontally to the table stand.
A file (a piece of a saw blade from a hacksaw for metal) is clamped into the holder.
Next, a round table of the same size as the sole is cut out of sheet steel. A cut is made in it for the saw blade, and it is welded to the stand.
The engine is installed on the sole and screwed to the corners with self-tapping screws.
3 tubes are welded to the bottom of the machine to press in rubber feet to reduce vibration.
If desired, the jigsaw can be painted.
