DIY case made from profile scraps
The remains of the profile after working with drywall are simply thrown away, since it is difficult to find practical use for them. If you haven’t gotten rid of your scraps yet, then make a hardware case out of them. They make a really handy organizer.
Materials:
- profile trimming;
- small screws and nuts;
- door hinges;
- pieces of lining, sheet plastic or thin plywood;
- plastic corner;
- latch lock;
- overhead door handle.
The process of making an organizer case
The partition profile pieces need to be drilled from the sides and screwed together with short screws and nuts. The number and length of scraps is selected individually according to the size of the required organizer. After joining, the resulting trays are cut evenly. Next, you need to plug the trays from the ends. A guide profile is used for this. One shelf is cut off to create a corner. The edges of such blanks are folded. This is necessary to screw in the plugs, since there is nothing to drill into at the end of the partition profile. Fastening is carried out on bends and from the bottom of the tray. Next, install the case cover.It can be made from scraps of PVC lining or similar lightweight material. Plastic corners are glued to the edges. The cover is installed on the door hinges. Then the latch lock and the door handle are screwed on. Partitions are placed on the trays inside. For this, ordinary plastic scraps are used. You need to make cuts in them under the walls of the profiles, and then glue the resulting inserts.Watch the video
