Coffee table manufacturing process
This is a truly unusual table, as the standard legs are replaced by a pair of concrete swans. It's very easy to make them. You need to draw one swan on paper in full size and cut it out. It is important that the curve of the bird's neck and the top edge of its tail are at the same height. The resulting template is traced on a sheet of foam plastic 2 times. The swans are then cut out. The remaining sheet of foam will be used as formwork for concrete.
The sheet is laid on plastic film and pressed with bricks. Then concrete is poured into the formwork.
You can buy it in bags, or mix cement with sand in a 1:2 ratio. It is advisable to add fiberglass. Thin parts of the formwork will float, they need to be pressed down with a brick.
In addition to the table there is a concrete flower pot. To make it, you need to select a bucket of suitable volume and fill it with wet sand from the outside.
The bucket is removed and the circle of the mold is divided into 5 sectors. Next, you need to cut the sand along them with a sewer pipe at an angle to expand the shape and make it curly. It needs to be cleaned from the inside and the walls smoothed.
Liquid concrete is poured approximately halfway inside the sand mold. A water-weighted jar, smaller bucket, or other container is then immersed in it to create a cavity for planting.
To make a tray for a flower pot, you need to compact wet sand into a plate or basin of a suitable size. Then the mold is turned over and the dense sand is coated with concrete on top.
After a few days, you can remove the swans from the foam.
From available materials, a formwork is created under the table base, into which concrete is poured. Then the swans are inserted into it and aligned vertically.
After the concrete has dried, you need to paint the swans with their soles, as well as the pot and stand under it. You can immediately plant the plant.
All that remains is to install the base and cover it with a tabletop made from a wooden pallet. It is better to place the pot on the table. It will press the tabletop, which will prevent it from tipping over, since it is not secured by anything.
