Table for breakfast in bed or for a laptop

The breakfast table in bed is quite easy to do and does not require any special skills. Anyone can make it.

To make such a table, you will need any picture measuring 50 by 70 centimeters (ready-made, but if you have the ability to draw, you can draw it yourself), pieces of foam plastic, a grater, scraps of fabric, scissors, needles, threads. You will also need a stapler for furniture and a sewing machine.

Grate the polystyrene foam. This stage is the most labor-intensive in the entire manufacturing process. To fill the cover under the table you will need 3-4 full basins of grated foam.

From the flap we cut out a regular rectangle, the dimensions of which should be 20 centimeters larger than the dimensions of the picture. In my case it is 70 by 90 centimeters. We distribute the allowances evenly on all sides to further form the sides of the cover. We sew the sides on the machine diagonally.

We cut out another rectangle of dimensions that match the dimensions of the painting.

And we attach it to the first part of the cover, turning the finished cover onto the front part.

You should end up with a bag like this. Don't forget to leave a hole in the case for filling the case with foam.

Fill the case with grated polystyrene foam? volume so that the future table can freely take the desired shape and sew up the hole.

This is what the finished case looks like. All that remains is to pin it to the picture using a furniture stapler.

The table is ready. Now it will be convenient to work on a laptop, placing a table on your knees, or drink a cup of coffee with a crispy croissant in bed in the morning.
