1 best product for removing bitumen from a car body, which is always at hand

After laying fresh asphalt, or simply when driving in the heat, the bitumen torn off by the tread sticks to the car body. It sticks so strongly that it is impossible to wash it off even with a high pressure washer. However, there is a simple way to get rid of bitumen and also prevent it from sticking to the body in the future.

What you will need:

  • WD-40;
  • dishwashing liquid;
  • car wax;
  • napkins or rags.

The process of removing bitumen from a car body

To remove bitumen, you must first wash the part of the body stained with it from ordinary dirt. After the surface has dried, WD-40 is applied. They literally need to pour the bitumen on it to soften it.

After a couple of minutes, you can wipe it with a dry cloth or napkin.

Larger particles that are not completely dissolved may need to be re-sprayed with WD-40.

After removing the bitumen, the part of the body coated with WD-40 must be washed with water and dishwashing detergent.

This is an inexpensive, gentle way to deactivate penetrating lubricants and degrease the surface.

When the body is dry, it needs to be waxed, at least in those places where bitumen constantly sticks. Its presence will prevent further adhesion to the paint or varnish itself.

Bitumen that gets on the wax can be easily wiped off and washed off with water without additional products.
