How to make a wind generator from an asynchronous electric motor
To receive free electricity, it is very profitable to use a wind generator where there is no fixed network. Unlike solar panels, it can generate electricity even at night, as long as there is sufficient wind. You can assemble a wind generator from a conventional asynchronous electric motor at a minimum cost, and ultimately receive 220 V after conversion to power household appliances.
Materials:
- The electric motor is asynchronous;
- Neodymium magnets -
- diode bridge 50 A - 2 pcs. - http://alii.pub/5nfe4v
- capacitors - 2 pcs.;
- 12 V batteries – 4 pcs.;
- plastic sewer pipe 110 mm;
- plywood 10 mm;
- 220V inverter - old uninterruptible power supply.
Installation manufacturing process
The generator is made from a conventional 220 V asynchronous electric motor.
You need to remove its armature and cut out cavities in the core for powerful neodymium magnets. To do this, cuts are made, then the metal is drilled out and ground down.
The magnets are glued into the grooves with alternating polarities.
In this form, the generator will be able to produce alternating current, with a voltage of about 12-50 V at low speeds, but with large voltage surges. It needs to be converted to direct current to recharge the batteries.
For this purpose, the proposed circuit is assembled from diode bridges and capacitors.
Blades for a wind generator are cut from a plastic sewer pipe.
For this engine, their length is 42 cm, the width on one side is 9 cm, and on the other 3 cm. You need to cut 3 blades. If the generator is made of a large motor that is difficult to spin, then the length and width of the blades increases.
A disk for attaching the blades is drilled out of plywood using a core drill. It is reinforced on both sides with smaller discs. The workpiece is marked and drilled, then the blades are screwed to it.
The resulting impeller is screwed to the generator shaft. A hole is pre-drilled in the latter and a thread is cut for the bolt.
A wind generator with an impeller is installed on top in a well-ventilated place. Through a circuit assembled from diode bridges, 4 12V batteries connected in series are charged from it.
The charge accumulated on them is converted into 220 V AC using an inverter, which is suitable for powering household appliances.
