How to remove creaking laminate flooring without disassembling it
The creaking of the laminate occurs due to its subsidence into the recesses of the base. Therefore, if the rough screed or flooring has even the slightest depressions, then over time the floor above them will begin to hold together. In this case, this void must be removed. This is possible even without dismantling the laminate.
What you will need:
- Syringe 20 cc;
- drill with 3 mm drill bit;
- masking tape;
- assembly adhesive such as liquid nails;
- vacuum cleaner;
- planks – 3 pcs.;
- heavy load.

The process of repairing squeaky laminate flooring
First of all, we find the places where the floor creaks and determine the center of the recess under them. Then we glue a small piece of masking tape on top. Next, we drill the laminate through the tape and remove the shavings with a vacuum cleaner.
After this, we fill the syringe with liquid nails. The nozzle of the syringe must be inserted into the hole in the laminate and the glue will be squeezed out.
Now you should leave the syringe in the hole so that it is closed, and stomp around it, thereby distributing the composition in the cavity.Depending on the size of the recess, it may be necessary to pour glue several times.
Then we remove the syringe and place it on two sides of the hole of the board, placing them parallel. We place the third board across them and press on it. This design allows you to set the glue to an exact plane, preventing the formation of a tubercle. As a result, a little glue should come out through the hole under load. If it is not squeezed out, then it is not enough and needs to be added.
Once we are sure that there is enough glue and the cavity is completely filled, we place a weight on the boards. We do not remove it until the liquid nails are dry.
After this, there will be no more squeaking of the laminate.
