The idea of using an old mobile phone or how to make a simple projector for watching videos
Unexpected use of an old push-button telephone. Several parts cut out of cardboard, an LED lamp and a lens. That's all you need to make a projector. Details below.
How to make a very simple projector for viewing pictures and videos
In order for the LED lamp to work more efficiently in the future projector, it will need to be modified to improve the focusing of the light flux. To do this, part of the diffuser is sawed off with a hacksaw.
You need access to the board with the LEDs located on it. To ensure light transmission in one direction, a new reflector is made from cardboard. For better light transmission, foil is glued to the edge of the reflector.
The finished structure is fixed to the LED lamp using hot-melt adhesive.
The following operations require utmost care and attention. An old cell phone is being disassembled. The purpose of disassembly is to refine the liquid crystal matrix.
Carefully remove the plastic casing of the device. The speaker is removed. The backlight diffuser and all substrate layers are removed from the back side of the LCD matrix. The main thing is not to damage the cable.
The result of the work is fixing the LCD screen on a previously manufactured new LED lamp reflector. All with the same hot glue.
We don’t bother with making the base of the structure. Suitable scraps of wooden products are used. Unsoldering the telephone battery terminals and securing the entire structure to a wooden base is a simple task. Where would we be without hot glue? It is necessary to position the structure so that there is free access to the keyboard of the former telephone. The device will be controlled from it. Made.
In order for the image transmitted by the projector to be larger than the size of a matchbox, it is necessary to install an additional lens. Does everyone remember the old Soviet KVN TVs? Nobody remembers... Well, it doesn't matter. The same cardboard and… hot-melt glue help!
Now let's check what happened in the end.
Power is supplied to the LED lamp, and the video file starts on the phone. Wow!
