Lava lamp
Good day to all. In this article I will tell you how to make a lava lamp and available materials at minimal cost.
For this we need:
The two liquids are different in density; we’ll take sunflower oil as the main liquid, and ordinary colored water is suitable for the other. We will also need any container - be it a bottle or a glass jar. And another ingredient is effervescent tablets, for example, alko-seltzer or antigrippin. Once you have collected all the ingredients, let's start making.
Making Lava Llama
Pour a little colored water into the prepared container, and carefully pour oil on top 3-4 times the volume of dye.
The liquids will not mix together - this is due to the fact that the density of water is greater than the density of oil, so it will always settle to the bottom. To start the process, throw an effervescent tablet into a container filled with liquids - gas will begin to be released and water, together with air bubbles, will rush upward, and then will slowly sink to the bottom in the form of beautiful balls.
I also used soy sauce and paint from bright, acid-colored markers as dyes.
