Phone for Skype from a broken mobile phone
Nowadays, everyone probably has a broken cell phone lying around at home. What to do with it - it’s a shame to throw it away, taking it to the radio market is like throwing it away, at best they’ll give you 10 dollars for it, let’s give it a second life and make it a phone for Skype (or any other IP telephony).
To work we will need:
1. Broken mobile phone
2. Wires from headphones or microphone (you can use the cheapest Chinese ones)
3. Hands, tools, soldering iron, free time, preferably skills in electrical engineering
Opening the phone
All models are understood differently, so it’s difficult for me to tell you anything
We find the speaker in the phone, find its leads and solder the wire that will connect to the output of the sound card.
It is advisable to solder directly to the speaker (so that the speaker is not connected to the phone board)
We do the same with the microphone.
After everything is soldered, you can connect the phone to the computer and check the functionality of our design.
Once everything is working, we remove the wires from the case and assemble the phone. Holes for wires in the plastic case of a mobile phone can be made with a heated soldering iron tip.
