Passport case made of felt fabric

To ensure that your passport is always clean and tidy, we suggest making a beautiful and original felt case for it. The main highlight of such a cover will be the bright appliqué.



For work, it is necessary to prepare the materials and tools indicated in the following list:
• paper;
• pencil;
• ruler;
• felt fabric of different colors;
• colored threads for embroidery;
• needle;
• scissors.

Step-by-step instructions for making a case.
1. On a sheet of paper, the dimensions of which correspond to the dimensions of the passport, draw a sketch of the application.



2. Cut out all the paper templates, transfer them to felt and make patterns for the applique parts.



3. We take measurements of the front side from the passport and, according to them, cut out a pattern for the cover from felt. It consists of a main part, which will serve as the “face” of the case, and two side parts.



4. Using an overcast stitch, we decorate the cover, connecting the main part with the side parts.



5. We make an applique on the front side of the cover. We will do this with a “forward needle” or “stitches” seam. First we sew on the kitten figurine.



6. Attach a bow in the neck area.



7.We sew on butterflies and embroider antennae for them.



8. Attach a flower in the bottom corner.
