Handbag for a little princess
Every girl needs a handbag, no matter how old she is, 2 years old or 22! Of course, every age has its own needs, and taking them into account, the handbag should be made of appropriate materials and be of a suitable size. For the little ones, these can be very small handbags made of fabric, knitted from all kinds of threads, which will be adapted for small toys and a handkerchief; with age, a mobile phone and, for example, a mirror can be added to these things. We will learn how to knit a handbag for a little fashionista so that the most necessary little things fit in it, but so that it is small and comfortable.
We will need:
- pink threads of the “Iris” type, used primarily for knitting lace napkins;
- lilac threads;
- scissors;
- hook No. 2;
- button.
Let's get to work.
1. Using crochet number 2, cast on a chain of fifty loops using pink threads.
• The order of rows and colors can be changed depending on your desire, and colors can also be replaced altogether if you want to make a handbag that matches certain clothes.
2.We knit fifty rows with double crochets, alternating two rows of the same color, i.e. 2 rows with pink threads, then 2 rows with lilac threads.
3. We turn to the side of the resulting rectangular fabric and knit forty-eight single crochets from the side columns of the fabric.
4. We make 6 rows of columns, as shown in the figure.
5. We connect our product with single crochets to form a pocket.
6. We do it symmetrically on the opposite side of the product, similar to point 5.
7. To the resulting side part of our future handbag we tie twelve single crochet loops and knit the required length of the strap, in our case one hundred and fifty rows.
• You can knit a chain of three hundred loops (the number of loops depends on the height of the child and the desired length of the strap) and knit six rows with one crochet and sew on both sides to the sides of the handbag.
8. Knit fifty loops from one side of our product and knit a corner, the “lid” of our handbag, in decreasing order on both sides. At the end of the corner, make an air chain of loops, in my case there are ten of them.
9. Sew a button on the handbag.
Our beautiful handbag is ready!
If desired, you can decorate the handbag with embroidery or sew flowers knitted from the same threads.
Can be done knitting single crochet, if your girl likes very small toys, buttons, beads, etc. or double crochet stitches if it is expected that only large items will be carried in the purse, such as a telephone, scarf, mirror, etc.
Using this principle, you can sew a handbag of any size and color you want. You can also decorate it with beads or stripes.Involve the owner of the handbag in this activity; children's imagination often comes up with unexpected, but very interesting ideas and options.
