Slippers “little Muk”
Each of us has guests very often. The number and age of guests can be very diverse. And naturally, you want to immediately do something nice for the invited people, surprising them with something. The first thing we offer guests is slippers. Let's please our guests not with ordinary slippers from the store, but let's make them ourselves for each guest!
Slippers can be sewn on a machine by processing the parts with an overlocker.
I offer step-by-step instructions for those who know how to crochet.
We will need
Pieces of old thick leather (you can use leather from old boots), pieces of thick warm material (such as overcoat fabric, wool, or something similar), synthetic threads, scissors, a hook, as well as an object that can be used to make holes (you can use hole punch, but with its help you get big holes. For these purposes, I asked my husband to use a machine to make a special hole punch from pliers - it’s very convenient!)
Manufacturing process
1.We start by drawing a pattern.
We make the pattern ourselves; over time, you won’t have much difficulty making slippers of any size. Try starting with small, children's slippers. Remove the sole from regular slippers, lengthening the “toe” as shown in the photo.
2. Using the pattern, cut out the parts.
First, the sole of the slippers: these are 2 parts for the inner part (wool) and 2 parts for the outer part of the slippers (pieces of thick leather work well. You can take dermantine for this purpose).
For ease of use, baste together part 1 and part 2 (inner and outer parts of the slippers).
3.We make the upper part of the slippers. We will need the same material (wool and leather (can be a little softer than for the sole of the product). The output is 8 parts for two slippers. We also baste them in two parts (outer part and inner).
4.Using a hole punch, make holes in the prepared parts. The distance between holes and from the edge of the part is no more than 1 cm.
5.Slowly, crochet the sole, and then the upper parts.
6. We crochet the 2 upper parts together.
7. Connect the upper and lower parts. First, pin together with needles so that the parts lie evenly to each other, and then crochet.
8.One slipper, and then another!
9. One of the important decorative elements of our product is pompoms. To make a pompom you need to cut out 2 identical circles. In each circle, draw another circle with a smaller diameter. Cut out inner circles. Connect the resulting parts together and wrap them with thread.
Cut the threads according to the diameter between the two patterns. Tighten the cut threads with a strong rope. Fluff the resulting pompom.
10.Sew pompoms to the “nose” of the slippers. The product is ready!
R.S. You can use embroidery or applique to decorate finished products. For each pair of slippers, come up with your own design theme (circles, patterns, rings, etc.).Each of you can decorate the finished model using your creative imagination! With such a “slipper” surprise you will not only surprise your guests, but also make it clear that they are welcome here. Good luck!
