Baby bear in a white dress

Prepare for work:
1. Hook No. 2
2. Threads of two colors (preferably 100% cotton)
3. Holofiber or padding polyester (for filling)
4. Beads (for eyes)
5. Sewing threads (black)
Designations:
VP - air loop
RLS - single crochet
PSN - half double crochet
Dc - double crochet
СС2Н - double crochet stitch
Increase - expansion by knitting two elements from one loop (RS, PSN, SSN)
Decrease – narrowing the work by knitting two elements together, thus forming one loop out of two.
Progress.
Head.
Any part of the body of our future toy begins with two air loops. In the first loop we perform 6 sc (we get 6 loops). Using a connecting loop, we close the circle.

Row No. 2: perform 2 sc in each loop (we get 12 loops).
Row No. 3: we knit, alternating 1 sc in one loop, 2 sc in the next - so until the end of the row (we get 18 loops).

We knit the next four rows without increments (18 loops in each row).

Row No. 8: perform reductions: 3 sc, 6 decreases, 3 sc. This is the narrow part of the muzzle where the eyes and nose will be.
Row No. 9: until the end of the row, alternate 1 sc and 1 decrease.

Row No. 10: knit without changes.

Let's fill it up. The filler can be padding polyester, padding polyester, holofiber, cotton wool (but cotton wool as a last resort). It is advisable to stuff all parts of the toy tightly.

We make decreases and tighten the loops until they are completely closed. We hide the thread in the bottom (back) seam.

Torso.
The beginning of knitting is the same as for the head, only we make a circle of 5 RLS (5 loops).
Row No. 2: knit 2 sc in each loop (10 loops). Next we knit 10 rows without increases. At your discretion, the body can be made shorter or longer.

Row No. 13: 5 decreases.
Now we stuff, make the final decreases and tighten the hole. We take out the remaining thread to the place where the head will later be sewn, and fasten it there.

Front paws.
We knit a circle of 4 sc and immediately move to the second row. We knit in a spiral, without connecting loops.

We knit a paw that is slightly longer than the body. You can knit “by eye”, but it is better to count the number of loops during knitting so that the parts are the same. We knit the second leg in the same way.

Hind legs.
We perform a circle of 5 sc. We knit another 14 rows without increments, in the usual way, not in a spiral. We end each row with a connecting loop.
Let's finish knitting, fill with holofiber. We knit the second leg in the same way.

Ears.
We knit a chain of 3 VPs. We knit 6 hdcs into the first loop, but do not join them in a circle. Let's finish. We knit the second eye like this.

Dress.
We collect a chain of VP equal to the girth of the torso. We connect it into a ring.

We knit CC2H into each loop.

Second row: knit in the same way as the previous one, without increments.

Third row: knit 2 CC2H into each loop.

Fourth row: knit with any of the varieties of the “shell” pattern using hdc or dc. Finish.

Collar.
Cast on a chain of air loops equal to the circumference of your head and connect them into a ring.
Second row: knit 1 hdc into each stitch. Finish.

Using black sewing thread in 4 folds, we embroider the nose on the muzzle. We sew on beady eyes and embroider eyebrows.

We choose a place for the ears, pin them to the head and sew them on.

We sew all parts of the body to the body.

We pass the collar over the head and sew it to the dress.

You can knit a headband and a belt for her (a simple chain from VP).
Our baby bear is ready!
