Homemade feeder for feeder
Feeder feeders are consumables. Sometimes when fishing in snags, an angler can lose a lot of feeders in one fishing trip. And they are not that cheap. Of course, you can refuse to fish in promising places, but you can greatly reduce the cost of the feeders themselves. To do this, you can do them yourself. It's not that difficult. To make a feeder you will need a plastic bottle, lead, paper clips. The tools you will need are scissors and pliers. You will also need a nail or soldering iron. Small scales are highly desirable. But you can do without them.
First of all, cut a strip from the bottle. We cut it in such a way that when rolled up, we get a cylinder with dimensions corresponding to the size of the feeder.
Next you need to make holes in the strip. This is easy to do with a heated soldering iron. If you don’t have one, a nail heated over a fire will do.
When heating it should be held with pliers, this will reduce the risk of burns. You need a lot of holes. The bait will spill out through them.
After this you will need a strip of lead. Lead is most easily found in old car batteries. One battery is enough for many feeders. But before use, the lead must be melted down. This should be done outdoors, taking all precautions. To obtain strips of lead, a piece of it is flattened with milk into a sheet and cut into the required strips with ordinary scissors.
The lead strip should be slightly longer than the feeder. This will secure it.
Bend the paperclip as shown in Figure 7.
After this, using pliers, we assemble the feeder. First, fold the edge of the strip without a paper clip. You need to press the lead as hard as possible. The homemade feeder feeder is ready.
If you have scales, the feeders can be weighed and labeled with a marker. It is not necessary to make the feeder transparent. You can use bottles of different colors.
