Flower for curtains
The interior of an apartment plays a big role in a person’s life. Sometimes even the smallest details can significantly lift your mood and bring coziness, so necessary for the residents of the metropolis. Sometimes, even such a small thing as a curtain tie can radically change the look of a room. But finding suitable ties in stores based on color, texture and price is sometimes very difficult. That is why it is better to create them yourself. For work I needed:
First of all, we cut the tape into pieces 6 cm long. I’ll tell you right away, it took a lot of them!
Now we watch carefully and catch the thought. Fold the piece in half lengthwise, inside out, and cut off the corner with the fold, something like this.
I cut off the top left corner. We carefully fasten the edges using a lighter or soldering iron. We get this corner.
Let's work on the opposite side. We connect its ends to form a ring. You need to fold it right side inward. We fix it all with fire.
Thus, you need to redo all the segments.
When all the preparatory work is completed, we begin to collect the flower. You can use cardboard as a base. When choosing the diameter of the base, do not forget that it will eventually increase by at least 10 cm due to the petals.
Having previously drawn the circles, we begin to glue the petals to the base. It's better to make a cross first and then fill in the gaps.
So, gradually seal the entire base.
I also assign a role to the middle of the flower. To do this, I took a 20cm piece of tape, scissors and a lighter.
Using scissors, I carefully made cuts along the entire length to about the middle, and lightly singed the ends.
Next, drop a drop of glue onto the pin ball and apply it to the entire edge of the tape from the wrong side.
Thus, gradually adding glue, we twist the entire tape. Immediately after twisting, I carefully pulled out the needle and glued the resulting center to the center of the flower.
Now, generously fill the top of the center with glue and glue the beads onto it. In this case, such a ribbon center serves not as a decoration, but as a stand for beads. They are almost on the same level as the petals and look more harmonious.
The flower itself is assembled, now it’s time to think about the clip. In this case, you can use any device that can assemble your curtains. Most often they use hairpins, but I was lucky because I had one special clothespin free. This is what I glued to the back of the flower with glue.
And this is what my curtain looks like now with such a stunning flower.
