New Year's topiary

A DIY topiary using pine cones and shiny tinsel will be an excellent gift for the New Year holidays.
This composition will require the use of the following materials:
•Pine cones - 5 pieces,
•Thick wire – 5 pieces,
•Lilac floss threads,
•Silver tinsel,
•Foam plastic, large beads,
•Glue gun, alabaster, small jar.
First you need to prepare all the components of the topiary. To do this, the cones are painted with acrylic paint in lilac or purple.

Tinsel is cut into 5 equal pieces 8 cm long.

Such segments are rolled into a ring, the ends are secured with glue.

Thick wire is cut into 7 pieces of different lengths, and at the ends of 5 of them a loop is made, to which tinsel rings will then be attached.

Each such wire is tightly wrapped with threads.

The finished stems are twisted together and placed in a jar with diluted alabaster.

After the composition has dried, you can begin to mask the jar and create a snow cover around the stems.
To do this, the foam is crumbled into small pieces and glued to dried alabaster, a jar, or the base of the stems.
Beads are scattered on top of the snow in a chaotic manner.

Before working with pine cones and tinsel, it is better to prepare the stems in advance - give them beautiful curved lines in the form of curls and spirals. Bend the loops at the ends of the wire into a horizontal position, since all the other beauty will be attached to them.

First, a tinsel ring is glued onto the loop, and a pine cone is placed on top in the center.
Large mother-of-pearl beads are attached to the ends of the free stems.

To make the edges of the scales on the cones more fabulous, you can paint them with white paint or nail polish. And the snow cover will sparkle when it is showered with sparkles.
