Restoring dried out cartridges
Quite often, owners of inkjet printers are faced with the problem of a “dry cartridge”. This happens because the printer has been idle for a long time. To prevent this from happening, experts advise printing one sheet of paper at least a week.
Well, if this has happened and your cartridge has dried up, then I hope this method for restoring dried out cartridges will help you. There are 3 ways to prepare compositions to “soak” a dried cartridge. Alkaline, acidic and neutral.
1) The acid composition is suitable for such “color HP” printers. Its composition: 10% acetic acid essence, 10% alcohol, 80% distilled water.
2) Neutral, suitable for most printers: 10% glycerin, 10% alcohol, 80% distilled water.
3) Alkaline, suitable for Epson, Canon printers: 10% ammonia, 10% alcohol, 10% glycerin, 70% distilled water.
All compositions must be filtered after preparation. For this you can use toilet paper or a napkin.
After preparing one of the compositions, the question will immediately arise: “How to soak the cartridge? “I’ll tell you: drain all the ink from the cartridge, pour the solution inside and lower the entire cartridge into the solution. And let him unlock 1-3 for. This procedure is not suitable for foam cartridges; for them, you need to wet a napkin and place the cartridge on it with the nozzles on the napkin. After all the procedures done, it is necessary to blow out the cartridge with a syringe in both directions; for this it is better to use a rubber or silicone adapter. Don't overdo it with blowing. HP, Lexmark, Canon and the like are quite successfully restored using this method.
Epson type printers are restored a little differently. Take the head to the side, make a piece of cloth or napkin of suitable size, wet it with the solution and place it in the place where the head is parked and pack the head.
It’s better to remove the head and immerse its nozzles in the solution.
Leave it for a day. Don’t even think about blowing it out with a syringe after finishing it. Turn on cleaning 2-3 times (the printer has such a function). It should start printing on working cartridges.
If one type of composition does not give results, then try another.
