How to whiten tile grout and get rid of mold for a long time
A very effective, and most importantly simple way to whiten the seams between tiles anywhere: even in the bathroom, toilet or anywhere else. The method will not only make the seams snow-white, remove all fungus, but also protect against its appearance for a long time.
You won’t need any special effort when whitening, in fact, you won’t need a lot of time for all the procedures, but you will still have to try.
The main advantage of this method is its low cost and availability, which is quite relevant nowadays.
Will need
We only need one component - lime. It can be easily purchased in stores for summer residents. You will also need a mixing bowl and an old toothbrush.
And be sure to wear protective equipment: rubber gloves and goggles. I advise you not to neglect these means under any circumstances.
Whiten the seams between tiles
The first step is to prepare a solution. To do this, add water to the lime; the reaction produces heat; use appropriate containers. Stir and make the consistency of liquid sour cream.
Now, dipping a toothbrush into the solution, apply lime to the seams between the tiles.
We process the entire required area.
After treatment, leave for 30 minutes. At this time, the entire applied mixture will dry.
We remove the applied lime with a wet cloth, wetting it frequently. It is not recommended to rub the seams themselves during this procedure.
After drying, white marks may appear; to do this, you need to go over it again with a wet cloth.
Slaked lime protects well against the re-formation of fungus. Especially in places where the tiles do not get wet. In the shower room, where the seams get wet almost every day, the effect lasts for about 2-3 months. Then cleaning and bleaching can be repeated.
PS: If you still have a problem with finding lime, you can use any disinfectant to clean plumbing fixtures. In some cases it may be even more effective, everything will depend on the composition of the product.
