Is the vacuum cleaner noisy? How to do prevention yourself and save money?
Good afternoon An increase in volume indicates that the vacuum cleaner is operating at higher power. If you use the vacuum cleaner in this mode for a long time, it can cause the motor to fail. And then you will have to contact a service center, or buy a new vacuum cleaner.
So my vacuum cleaner began to hum. The noise became very loud and began to resemble the sound of an airplane taking off.
I have an old Samsung SC4760. Served faithfully for 4 years.
I disconnect the hose, take out the container and filter. Next you need to unscrew 7 screws.
I carefully remove the lid.
The inside of the vacuum cleaner is covered with a layer of dust. It will need to be removed. Rinse the plastic parts under running water and wipe the board with a dry cloth.
I unscrew the board and take out the motor. It is secured with 3 more screws.
I unscrew the engine housing.
To remove the engine cover, you need to bend the edges of the cover with pliers.
The engine impeller is covered with a layer of dust. It is compressed so tightly that it is difficult to scrape it off the walls of the impeller. Because of these dust build-ups, an imbalance occurs, the impeller begins to vibrate and a humming sound appears.
To remove the impeller, you need to unscrew the nut. It's filled with some kind of glue and you can't just unscrew it. To do this you need to remove the motor brushes.
Make two wooden blocks.
Insert them into the places of the brushes.
And squeeze them with a clamp. This way we will fix the engine and can unscrew the impeller nut.
I needed a 12mm socket and a ratchet wrench.
I removed the impeller and began to clean it. To do this, I took a screw and a long screw. Ideally, clean with a brush like this. But it’s unlikely that everyone will have it on hand.
There was a lot of dirt!
Then I washed everything with water. I cleaned all the filters, dried everything and put it back together in reverse order.
The sound of the vacuum cleaner has changed a lot. The buzz is gone. The suction power has increased. The vacuum cleaner took a deep breath!
The cleaning method is quite simple. But it will save you money and extend the life of your vacuum cleaner. It is advisable to carry out this procedure once a year.
The vacuum cleaner may be loud afterward. reasons:
