Original candle
A friend once gave me candles, but none of us received any pleasure from the gift. These were ordinary candles. The idea to transform a similar present was born by itself.
The required materials are multi-colored plastic, a wooden stick and a stationery knife. To begin, roll out two “worms” in your hands and weave them together. We lay out the resulting braid around the candle - we get a “foundation” for the main decoration. After this we begin to sculpt flowers.
The main thing is patience, then every small detail will work out. We tear off small peas from a piece of plastic, knead them in our hands, thus getting petals. The color, shape and number of petals can be any. By gluing the petals together, we get a flower. It should be stuck to the base. You can first make all the flowers and then attach them to the base, but this, in my opinion, is more difficult.
Plastic of different colors mixes well. Thanks to this, you can get a wide variety of colors and shades. You don’t have to mix them completely, then you’ll get colored veins on the petals. It should be remembered that the plastic becomes a little darker when baked.
When several flowers have already been made, they need to be decorated with leaves. Roll out a pancake from green plastic using a wooden stick. Then, using a stationery knife, cut out the leaves in the shape you like. Leaves can be sculpted either to flowers or to the base. This way we fill all the space on the base braid.
The last stage is baking in the oven. You can take out the candle or leave it (if you are afraid of breaking everything). The plastic packaging usually indicates a time of 30 minutes. But from my own experience I know that in 30 minutes. everything will burn. The oven should be preheated to 250 degrees, and the craft should be baked on a wooden board for about 5 minutes. (depending on size). Then just wait until the decoration cools down and that’s it. This candle is quite an original gift.
