How to make a portable stove for a cauldron from wheel rims
For outdoor cooking in a cauldron, you can make a portable stove from old rims. This is much easier than making brickwork, and besides, such a stove can be hidden when not needed or taken with you on a picnic.
Materials:
- stamped wheel rims – 2 pcs.;
- door hinges – 2 pcs.;
- heat-resistant paint;
- M8 pin;
- any pipes.
Stove manufacturing process
The discs are cleaned of dirt and loose rust. A hole is cut in one of them for installing an existing cauldron.
They are then welded together so that the right sides with the holes are facing out.
A door is cut out on the side of the welded disks for loading firewood. You must first cut them in height and install the door hinges.
Then you need to make a wedge-shaped cut in the seam between the outer sides, since this protrusion will prevent the door from opening. After this, the doors are completely cut out.
As a handle, you can weld a pin onto the door and screw a wooden block onto it.
The legs are welded to the bottom of the stove.To make it more presentable, it can be painted with heat-resistant spray paint.
