How to adjust the blades of a hair clipper to cut the smallest hairs without twitching
After sharpening, the clipper blades need to be adjusted before tightening the screws. Otherwise, the hair will be cut with gaps or plucked.
Knife adjustment process
The diameter of the mounting holes of the lower knife is wider than the screws that clamp it. Due to this, it can be moved in any direction by a few millimeters. Having tightened the screws, it is necessary to align the lower knife relative to the upper one so that the width of it has the same reach on the left and right.
It also needs to be pushed forward so that it protrudes from under the upper blade by 0.5-1 mm.
After adjusting the front and side offsets, you need to press the lower blade with your fingers so that it does not move, and tighten it with screws. Knives adjusted in this way will cut without plucking.
