How to use bottles to purify cloudy water until crystal clear

Those who like to travel far from civilization would do well to make a solar water filter. With its help, you can obtain clean drinking water from a puddle or from the sea.

What you will need:

PET bottles with caps – 2 pcs.;
plastic water pipe 20 mm;
heat gun;
knife.

Filter manufacturing process

For the filter, 2 bottles are selected; the larger they are, the greater its performance. The covers are removed from them, in which holes are cut according to the diameter of the existing pipe.
Then take a tube a couple of centimeters long less than the height of the bottle. It is inserted into the covers with the outer sides turned upside down and glued between them with hot glue.

One cover is placed at the edge of the pipe, and the second one is placed close behind it.

For filtration, dirty or sea water is collected into one of the bottles and must be prepared for drinking. The outer cap on the tube is screwed on top, then the second empty bottle is screwed to the structure. The filter is placed in a well-lit area.

Evaporation from the bottom bottle will condense on the bottom of the top bottle and accumulate in the form of clean water. In summer, during daylight hours, almost the entire volume can be filtered in this way. It is enough to make 4-5 filters with a total volume of 5 liters to provide clean drinking water to one person.
