How to make a dimmer based on an energy-saving lamp
You only need 5 parts to assemble this simple power regulator. And regulate, say, the heat and temperature of your soldering iron. This device can have many purposes. It works great with heating devices and can regulate power up to 2000 W, which is clearly not small.
Most of the parts can be taken from the board from the energy-saving board. We unsolder the dinistor.
Solder the capacitor and resistor.
You just need to find a triac and a variable resistor.
The device circuit is incredibly simple and is based on cutting half-waves of a sinusoidal signal. The triac opens, as it were, at a certain interval and lets through part of the half-wave.
We'll quickly assemble everything using hinged installation. Solder the dinistor to the triac and variable resistor.
We solder the resistor.
And a capacitor.
At this point the dimmer is ready. To check, solder it into the open circuit of the incandescent lamp.
Smoothly rotating the resistor slider adjusts the filament power of the lamp coil. From minimum:
To the maximum:
This dimmer is only suitable for heating devices: various heaters, stoves, soldering irons, incandescent lamps, etc.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to regulate the power of electronic components and devices with it due to the specifics of its operation.
When controlling a power of more than 1 kW, the triac must be installed on a radiator.
